Fishing Vacations
Most of the 2004-2005 bill fishing season is over and below
are the results for Feb. 2005. Compared to other years,
this last fishing season saw an increase in families sailfishing
with us as well as an increase in anglers from Europe. This
year we are adding a new twist to our fishing reports…the
numbers is parenthesis (1-2-3) represent the following:
(1.released fish, 2.fish that took the bait, 3. raised fish).
We wish to thank all our customers that came to Guatemala;
thanks to you The Great Sailfishing Company had a great
year. Thank you and tight lines!

FEBRUARY
Mr.
Ruslan Ugarod, wife and friend.
Ruslan had read about the sail fishing in Guatemala in his
native Russia and decided to try it out. Besides sailfishing,
they visited Lake Atitlán, Antigua Guatemala and
Archeological Park Tikal.
• 1st. Piragua: (9 released, 14 bites, 16 released)
sails.
• 2nd. Piragua: (12 released, 18 bites, 22 released)
sails and 2 dorado.
• 3rd. Piragua: (17 released, 18 bites, 30 released)
sails.

Ron Smith & friends.
• 4th. Stragos: (7 released, 12 bites, 13 raised)
sails and two 30lb+ dorado.
• 5th. Stragos: (21 released, 31 bites, 37 raised)
sails.
• 6th. Stragos: (8 released, 9 bites, 10 raised) sails.

Mr.
Lars Funderskov.
Lars has fished all over the world as he is a Chief Engineer
for big cargo ships. After fishing in Guatemala he said
fishing other parts of the world would pale in comparison.

• 6th. Piragua: (18 released, 22 bites, 25 raised)
sails.
• 7th. Piragua: (15 released, 18 bites, 20 raised)

This was the third trip to Guatemala that Paul and friends
have made, the last two were with our company. On this trip
they decided to try one of our villas.

• 8th. Sirena: 28 sails released.
• 9th. Sirena: 21 sails released.

Like last year, the fishing was great.
