Prices are per person, in USA dollars. A Surcharge will be
added for the last two weeks of December and Easter week.
Accommodations
in our own private villa or the Villas del Pacifico
Resort. All-inclusive/all meals, open bar National drinks,
weekend entertainment and disco at the resort. Private villa
comes with your own chef, waitress and maid, International
liquors severed.
Guided
fishing (Captain and two mates) with conventional tackle,
ballyhoo and lures.
Quality
fly fishing gear available for a nominal daily charge.
Lunch,
snacks and beverages on the boat.
Final
night at the Inter-Continental Hotel in Guatemala City or
the Casa Santo Domingo in La Antigua. Both 5 Star.

Take
an extra day to play a round of golf on one of Guatemala's
private courses. Stay at a private house with maid/cook,
stocked bar (national drinks) and refrigerator.
Documents:
A
valid passport is required to enter Guatemala. Tourist cards
are provided on your flight to Guatemala. It is your responsibility
for obtaining a valid passport. If you don’t already
have a valid passport, please allow yourself between 4 to
5 weeks.
Note: No shots are required to enter Guatemala.
Typical Airfare: Typically $475 – $600
from gateway cities (Miami, Atlanta, Houston and L.A.) to
Guatemala City, depending on the season.
Fishing Season: The prime time for Pacific
Sailfish is between the months of November and mid-May. Prime
Blue/Black Marlin fishing is between the months of June and
September, prime time for Yellowfin Tuna occurs between September
and December. Dorado are caught year round. In shore fishing
is productive all year with prime time Roosterfish.

Typical
Itinerary
Day1: Arrive in Guatemala City. Reception by a great sailfishing
English speaking staff or owner. Transfer to your choice of stay.
Ride takes about 11/2 hours, drinks served.
Days 2-4:
Full fishing days. You and your party will be served a full American
breakfast before transfer to the marina. Typical fishing day is
7am until 4 or 4:30pm lunch and beverages will be served on board
the sportfishing boats. In addition to the abundant sailfish population,
you will have the opportunity to catch blue/black marlin, yellowfin
tuna, dorado, roosterfish and wahoo.
Day 4
if your flight back home leaves before 10.30am your last night will
be in one of our quality hotels in the viva zone. If your departure
leaves after 10.30am your choice of last night stay.
Day 5:
Depart for USA. (Note: our hotels serve/include breakfast)

- Our staff members are bi-lingual so don’t worry
about speaking Spanish.

Dry
season: mid October to mid may
Rainy season: mid May to mid October
Daytime temperatures on the pacific coast range between 80-90F and
cool down into the 70s in the evening. High humidity and electronic
equipment are not the best of friends.
Reservations
To reserve
a sportfishing package with The Great Sailfishing Company, a deposit
of 50%, per angler is required. Final payments are due 60 days prior
to your departure. Reservations are not confirmed until deposits
are received.
Large
Groups
The Great
Sailfishing Company typically handles parties of 1 to 8 anglers.
However, we can accommodate larger groups and corporate functions
with advance notice. Special pricing extended to groups 12 and larger.
Meals:
A full American breakfast will be served before departing to the
marina on all of our packages. Lunch, snacks and beverages will
be served on board all of the sportfishing boats. The main restaurant
at the Villas del Pacifico Resort offers local and international
cuisine. The Cabaña Club bar serves fast food or full service
menu. At the Costa Verde, a full service menu is offered in the
restaurant or drive into town for dinner.
Note: dinner is not included with our Costa Verde packages. Your
private cook prepares breakfast and dinner when staying at the house.
1. The fishing!!!
Guatemala has great fishing, it holds the record for most
Pacific Sailfish both on the fly and on conventional tackle.
Along with the sailfishing most anglers catch dorado and have
a good chance at tuna. Go inshore fishing for rooster-fish,spanish
mackerel and jacks.
2.The accommodations and Security!!! We offer
first quality accommodations,the Villas del Pacifico is a
large beach-front resort offering the angler and their families
live entertainment,on the weekends,two large pools (one with
a swim-up bar),gym,week-end disco,tennis,pool table and a
lot more!! Our private homes are located on the Villas del
Pacifico complex. You have your own private chef,waitress
and maid and can also use the facilities at the resort. Both
complexes have 24 hour multi-security personnel ensuring you
and your family a safe and enjoyable stay.
3.The Boats / Crews!!! We offer first quality
boats ranging from 30 to 38ft. All of our captains and mates
are well experienced in both conventional and fly-fishing
tackle.
