We generally set prices for the following season in the Summer (July) when we can best get an estimate of fuel costs, as these make up the majority of our fishing expenses...............and they seem to only go one way !
In past seasons, we have kept price increases to a moderate rate, but inflation in Guatemala has been quite extreme over the last year or so for everything from vegetables in the market to infrastructure - the Finance Ministry just imposed a 20% levy on electricity for example ! Que sera sera.........
If you are considering a trip sailfishing to Guatemala for next season, what we WILL DO is :
- Make a firm booking with a 50% deposit to confirm the booking
- Pay IN FULL by August 2011
- We will hold and guarantee THIS SEASONS PRICES regardless of any coming price increases
