Miles to the fishing grounds in Guatemala
Prepared by The Great Sailfishing Company which operates out of the new Pez Vela Marina,Guatemala. The blue water for this week has been averaging between 20 to as far as 45 miles with calm days and mild seas until Saturday which had high winds forcing the fleet to return early. The local fleet has been reporting only fair numbers of 6 to 12 sails releases per day on conventional tackle and between 1 to 6 sails on the fly. The boats have also been reporting some good size dorado's caught each day which helped take some of the pain of only fair numbers during the week. Our guests fishing on the Bora-Bora for 3 days and the Stragos for 2 days released a total of 30 sails on the fly,1 rooster-fish and 1 jack on the fly with some dorado on spinning. Our guests on the Tranquility boated 6 sails and 6 dorados on Wednesday,6 sails and 1 dorado on Thursday and ending their 3 days with 9 sails / 1 dorado on Friday. For more information, please e-mail us at greatsailfishing@yahoo.com or visit our web-site at http://www.greatsailfish.com
